1 month preparing for this trip, at last, successfully held it.. yeah!!

Sueyin was the organizer for this trip, the idea was come from jensen when he suggest to go this place(but he dint join at last..). we set the trip on end of February because 26/02/2010 is prophet mohammad bday, most of us is on holiday & and that period is still CNY season. A famosa also having promotion at that time.

Through the A famosa's promotion booth in Dataran Pahlawan, sueyin have booked a villa (RM728) which have 3 room (master room -1 king size bed with attached bathroom, 2 other room - 1 single + 1 queen size bed), it can accommodate more than 10 people in the villa, for this trip, we 8 people is considered "ngam ngam", each person RM91 for the accommodation, the villa also includes 6 set breakfast (set meal only, not buffet). however, the ticket for each park is RM20 per park, if 3 park is RM50. we have choose to visit cowboy town & animal world safari only due to the time limit, so the ticket for each person is RM40. Normally, they also provide the package, we have called the A famosa reservation office, which is in Kl, phone no(603-2781 8888), they told us that the package is RM138 per person(accommodation + 2 park ticket:cowboy town+safari), their rate is depends on the season, so better call there to be sure before booking. besides that, we realize that the information they provide is not certain sometimes, remember double check for the information. the payment for accommodation have to be paid in full when booking through check/wang pos/bank in. the check in time for the villa is 4pm & check out time is 12pm.

after bought the tickets & booked villa, we started to plan our schedule for this trip, we planned to visit nature place in malacca such as botanical garden & zoo malacca. Besides that, we planned to make sandwiches as our 1st day dinner in A famosa (the food in A famosa Restaurant is expensive, so better bring some food there). at 1st, sueyin suggested steamboat there, but is banned by FC creator, Fai, because he is phobia with steamboat after cameron trip... haha..

after cowboy town, making sandwiches time in villa, all cooperation to make out the supper:
*sandwiches done by kiwi, sabrina & sueyin = good
*drink preparation by jieyu & kian peng = good
*cutting watermelon & tomato done by fai & kok= totally fail (haha..)

Sueyin is so excited to prepare the sandwiches (haha..)

professional cutting cucumber...good fai cutting watermelon.. fail (look the shape..aih...)

1st sandwiches that success to make! all playing card games after supper.

Before our games end, we plan the next day to have our breakfast at 8am, then 9am check out.

On the 2nd day, I slept over time, when I woke up it was already 8am, I quickly wake up & rush to toilet, when I want to close my door, suddenly got 1 people shout: “ Maggie, come out from toilet…..” I thought what happen.. then the FC fai continue to say: “we already take number to use the toilet, after Sabrina will be me & kok, next just your turn”… haha… after I heard that, I quickly close the door & don’t let him in … but lastly, I am a good people : P, so I let him use the toilet & I force to use the kitchen sink to brush my teeth.. sigh.. : P Actually I’m not the only people who woke up late, all woke up late also, so we change our plan, we eat some light food, then straight check out & have our breakfast in the cafe beside the check in office.

p/s : that morning, kee wee woke up early & plan to swim but at last he dint swim because a frog was dead in the pool... kill by "someone"???

took a group photo in front villa before leaving.

The breakfast was quite disappointing, it was not buffet, its only a set meal, each people just can have 1 set meal (nasi lemak / western food / porridge), but the drink (orange / tea / coffee..) is unlimited refill. The villa we rented just included 6 set of breakfast, so we shared the breakfast (nasi lemak), erm… dun really taste good, quite oily, service also not really good, maybe not enough worker.

After breakfast is almost 10.00am, we straight head to animal world safari to enjoy the 1st show – elephant show, which start at 10.15am. All the elephants are trained well; they are smart & perform best show to audience. They know how to play ball (basketball, football…), “massage”, dance, drawing, cycling, say thanks to audience & etc. The show was end at around 10.45am, & next show – multi animal show will start at 11.15am, so we decided to take truck go around the safari. The truck is like a cage, can sit 20-25 people in 1 truck, there is a tour guide inside the truck & told us about the animal in safari, but his explanation was poor. The safari have many kinds of animals: tiger, lion, bear, ostrich, peacock, horse, flamingo, sheep…. The tour takes around 20 minutes, so we can straight go to the multi animal show at 11.15am.

The multi animal show includes otter, iguana, orang utan, hamster, bear… they showing their talent in performance, such as otter know how to keep rubbish, mathematical solution, play basketball; bear rolling ball, cycling, & so on. It makes people quite curious about how they trained the animal to perform well. But I respect the trainer because they are very patient & showing their love to train the animal. They have done a good job.

Next, we proceed toBird Show at 12pm which just apart short distance from the multi animal show. But the show starts at around 12.15pm, a bit late. The MC for this show is the same MC at multi animal show too. So, maybe they take times to make some preparation before starting a new show again. The show includes many types of birds: Winston, pigeon, flamingo, American duck, chicken…..In the show, birds know to sing birthday song, counting, drawing… besides that, the trainer trained the bird to pick the money from the audience once they had their hands up with RM10. Audience will get back a bird drawing if the birds pick their money. I guess this is one of the way to earn money too. The shows end at 12.45pm.

Apart from the final show – wild wild west (2.15pm) still got 1 more hour, so we took “ferry” to the monkey island, there have few types monkey there such as macaque & some I forgot the name. There are peacock & rabbit too, but actually the island is just a very small place, after turn 1 round, we came to the end. So, we went back to the safari, & go through the walk thru area, got flamingo, sheep, tapir, horse, birds… & also chicken farm.

At last, we went to the final show at 2.15pm, there already full of audience, besides that, the weather was terrible hot, we were all sweating (luckily got tissue supplier.. thanks :D) . The show was about the Red Indian & cowboy fighting in the town, it consist comedy & fighting. Some part dun really understand, quite blur because not really can hear what they spoke but their performance considered not bad

After the Wild Wild West, we finished our trip in A famosa, that time was just 3pm, so we departed to Malacca town since kee wee desired to go there. So, we went to Jonker Street & have our lunch/dinner in Jonker 88(da bao xiao shi). We eat the famous Laksa & cendol, many people are waiting for table, line up for the food, but the food quite delicious and acceptable. There have San Shu Kong in the entrance of Jonker street, Boss(kok) have treat us the Amor cake too. (RM7.50, buy 5 free 1), quite soft & special, it was made by machine. At the day time, Jonker street just have shops that are on business, however, at night time, starting from 6pm, small stalls that sells different kind of things start to do business at the street there, so car is not allowed to pass that road (remember do not park car at the road when night time, or else, your car will be hard to move). The Stalls sell food & drinks, accessories, books, keychain, clothes, shoes…..etc. Jonker Street are a heaven for people to enjoy shopping & relax there.

Short visits in Jonker Street, sueyin have recommended us to a famous cake shop to taste the speciality of the cake. We ordered 2 cakes & share it. The cake is called Japanese layers cake, is handmade & less sweet, suitable for many people. The price for 1 slices cake around RM8.50, almost same price as secret recipe, Malacca people have 1 more choices when buying cakes for celebration.

So, above sharing is the travel experience in Malacca & A famosa… In this trip, fortunately we have 8 people to join; it’s fun & joyful; for next trip, hope more people can join the trip & share the happiness with us.

Kranching waterfall + Batu caves

Another waterfall we had visited that is Kraching waterfall, along with maggie, jensen and me. Kranching waterfall was located nearby Rawang, We start our journey by follow the road to kepong and rawang for about 20-30 minutes .

Passed by Batu Cave and follow Kuantan direction, all the way to Selayang then before Rawang there, then u will saw Hutan Lipuh Kanching on your right hand site, make a u turn because there was divider that cant make u right turn. Journey took about 45min or less than that. It's a quick descent to the entrance parking lot, so be aware. The entry fee for adults a is RM1 per person while each vehicle is charged RM2 for parking.

Based on the information from internet, there are 7 waterfalls inside the Hutan Lipur Kranching, which mean that there will be 7 levels of waterfalls. Each waterfall had their name and characteristic. It was mentioned that Hutan Lipur Kranching was a great hideout for a weekend getaway or a picnic, is well-known among the locals. The forest holds special appeal for nature lovers in search of peace and serenity in its waterfalls, which is definitely worth a visit.Getting know that during the weekends Kanching is very crowded, luckily we reached there by 9.30 am, the place still quiet and not much people around.

We started our journey by walking through the paved walkway for about 10-15 minutes. Frankly, we had totally no ideas with the 7 falls, and didn't aware of it even through we passing by ( really FC!!). After the paved walkway, we had passed through the first waterfall- Lata Bemban, second waterfall - Lata Terentang, third waterfall - Lata Tempenis. Where the most of the people will stay here because it will be much more easier to get there, concrete pool was build which crowd will not suffering for the uneven rock. The facilities such as changing rooms, picnic area, toilets and camp side will be provided at this levels.

1st Waterfall- Lata Bemban

Weird post

Act cool!!

2nd waterfall - Lata Terentang ( A Bridge joining banks together to generate more resting area )

After that, we were continued to the forth waterfall - Lata Kapur. This is the most dangerous pathway along the journey, we have to climb up from the very steeply and long concrete stairway till the ascend narrow pathway just beside the steep hillside. We have to hold the rope when walked along the hill sides to prevent us from fall down. You can see the river was tame and cascade over four levels at here. We are all exhausted after this climbing .

4th waterfall- Lata Kapur

Rest after tired climbing the hills

We have to crossing the water stream in order to get to fifth waterfall , many rocks around this area ,beware of it when you crossing this river. After passing through the bushes pathway surrounded by forest, we had reached to the Lata Tembusu. A fanstatic scenic in which you can see a tall waterfall and wild cascading of the water.

5th Waterfall- Lata Tembusu

To climb up the small hill, you will reached the sixth waterfall- Lata Gapis and this is the end of the track, we can't find a way to reach the seventh waterfall- Lata Buas. Anyway, thinking of our safety, we just satisfied to reach till here. However, this is not a nice place to take a bath here, we decided to head back Lata Tembusu and stay there.

6th Waterfall- Lata Gapis

EnJoy at 5th waterfall- Lata Tembusu

After that, We decided to visit batu caves which is located nearby as suggested by maggie. Since maggie never been there before, me and jensen force to accompany her this time . Nothing much to said, we just climbed up the 272 stairs ( very tired !! FC maggie !), and took a look for the statue . At the mean times , Jensen did pray over there as well.
