Broga Hill (sunrise view) + Sg. Tekala (13/06/2010)

After post up event in facebook for two months, this combination trip to Broga Hill & Sg Tekala have attracted 22 persons to participate. This trip can considered the most participants joined since our club have started.

Broga Hill (Semenyih) is located approximate 14 km from Kajang Town is considered a start up for those who just have hiking as their hobby. the way to Broga Hill can refer to this blog as reference :

However, Sg. Tekala Recreational Forest is located about 14km away from the town of Semenyih in the district of Hulu Langat. This recreation park was established in 1982 for the public to enjoy the beauty of the tropical rainforest in Selangor. It is a very popular nature escape for outdoor activities spent with family & friends.

We have start our journey at 4.15am by 5 cars, few of the driver dint sleep because of 2010 FIFA World Cup at midnight time (=.="), but luckily safe journey all the way.. thank god!!

We all reached the RABBIT FARM there around 5 something. that time already many car park along the roadside & car park (RM2 per car-private parking lot). Most of the people in group form, come with family or friends. There also got stall selling torchlight & drinks. For weekend, the hill was crowded of people, we just follow in front people already can reach the top, however, for weekday, the hiker lesser, so need to be careful will go wrong path.

The journey to the top takes approximately 30-50 minutes, depend on every individuals' stamina & also depends on the number of people turn up there. We having human traffic jam while climb up & go down, as there is only 1 route up & down. Around 6 something, we reached top, there have 4 peak, the height is almost the same, just have some different view. The sun rise around 7.30am.

Around 8.00am, we having our meal in broga town, it just a small town. After come out from the broga hill car park, turn left & go straight, around 5 minutes more we reach the town, as recommend by jensen & refer to this blog (http://www.rebeccasaw.com/more-food-at-broga-pan-mee-ais-kacang/), we order famous ABC & wan tan mee & mee soup, we dint order the pan mee because we thought the stall did not open. The ABC is really delicious, but the wan tan mee & mee soup a bit disappointed. Durian is famous in Broga Hill also, the Durian tree can find in everywhere.

After took meal, we depart to next destination, the famous Si Na Tok Chinese Temple, the temple have nice decorations & scenery, it is consider 1 of the attractions in Broga Hill also.

Stay around 1 hour in the temple, we headed to Sg Tekala Recretional Park, which took around 30 minutes from the temple. Entry fee for the park is RM1 per person, no parking fee, food & drink stall along the road side, & have toilet facilities. the place also crowded of people, everywhere also got people playing water, picnic, swimming..... hard to find a proper place, we climb up & hope to find up stream, but at last we just stop at the half way because hard to find the way & limitation of time.

Our journey end around 1 something, we separate our journey back home. Hope this trip got give our participants a good memorable experience & knowledge.
